Parts Bonanza

I've been ordering as much stuff for my bike as my poor wallet can afford  and still unfortunately still have a lot more things to look for before this bike really even starts to take shape as a cafe.  so far i have bought a cb550 brake caliper in great condition because as you can see in the previous post, my stocker is garbage... couldn't stop a reluctant turtle.  anywhoo... also got some bright new turn signals coming, ruthlessly biting Austin cafe racer's style on this one.  As to the sad amount of corrosion on the exhaust, i'll be sandblasting it and painting the whole thing hi-temp black, then doing some header wrap, black of course.

So as it stands right now, here's the complete proposed  parts list.
Header wrap
front and rear signals
front brake caliper
rearsets
cafe seat
drag bars or tarrozzi clip ons
napoleon bar end mirrors
rear shocks
new rubber (avon roadrunners)

the bike

Here's my bike,  it's a 1973 Honda CB500K2 with just over 14k  miles.  the previous owner must have painted it, and put on the aftermarket exhaust, luggage rack and turn signals, i don't believe any of these are stock...

welcome to the Real World

this is the real story of one motorcycle, picked to live in a garage, be worked on, and have it's transformation taped, to find out when bikes stop being polite and start getting cafe'd
